Been a long time since we went to town to walk around, as WC has been busy working!
And so he has officially quit his job (for his studies sake), and when my elder sis introduced this dimsum place that serves the best custard bun in Singapore, we decided to give it a try yesterday! 😀
Dimsum is normally eaten in the morning, and so we started the day early by meeting at 10am (as I booked a table for 2 at 1045am)! It was considered SUPER early for me since I always wake at 1130am-12pm for weekends. :O
East Ocean Teochew Restaurant
#05-08/09, Ngee Ann City, 391 Orchard Road
Super cute dimsum, I almost wanted to order the Seahorse ones, but $6++ for 3 pieces seem not worth!
Tie Guan Yin, a superior type of tea!
A total of 10 cups were brought to us. (6 before the meal and 4 after the meal).
Super-fast-motion-hand! But posting this pic as it shows my dress from Threadtheory well! 🙂
Glutinous rice that has a fragrant taste with mushrooms at every bite! 😉
Behold the nicest liu sha bao (custard bun) ever! 🙂
Custard bun normally adds salted egg in it, to give it a sweet yet salty taste.
And I am so super happy to say that there is enough salted egg in this, which is really the best I ever tried in Singapore so far (even better than Victor’s!), and with just a single bite.
this whole heavenly combi oozes out! 😀
I would gladly be willing to come back again just for this! A MUST-ORDER!
Century Egg Porridge. Soft and smooth porridge that tasted nice, but didn’t really leave a memorable impression for me!
This isn’t serve daily, and it was under their speciality of the day for yesterday.
Siew Mai. This isn’t that impressive, so I won’t really suggest ordering this.
This is yummy, as every slice comes with prawns! 😀
Har Kow, a must-order for dimsum! 😀 This is not bad, as its skin is soft and succulent prawns!
Overview of all we ordered.
There isn’t any individual shots of the softshell crab (at the centre) and the pork ribs with taro (at the back) as the individual pics are a little blur! :X
But the softshell crab isn’t really that fantastic and isn’t really worth the cost 😦
While the pork ribs with taro was delicious! A MUST ORDER!
We decided to watch Prisoners (everyone gave it 5 stars) after that, and while waiting for the movie to start we went to Smoothie King to have a drink first!
Cathay Cineleisure Orchard
8 Grange Road, #05-01A, S(239695)
A collaboration between Smoothie King and Cathay Cine!
WC looks so super tired as he only reached home at 5am, due to Oktoberfest at his workplace. And yet he woke up at 9am so as not to break his date with me to go for dimsum! Thanks WC! 😀
We ordered Angel Food, with Multi-Vitamins enhancer!
Craving for it right now, as its really refreshing for this SG’s weather!
And we headed for the movie, which was close to 2 and a half hours, and it was a nice movie, but too gloomy for me! 😥
There was something new that my colleague introduced to us and its
Bear Bites Singapore
*Scape, 2 Orchard Link #02-42 (behind Old Chang Kee)
We chose the Milk paw to try as we wanted to try the original one first!
There are other special paws, such as Yam, Squid Ink and Curry!
We ordered the Chicken Karaage one, and I personally felt that it was nothing special! 😦 The paws were cute though! 🙂
Next, we headed to WC’s Grandma Birthday celebration,
Kian Seng Seafood Restaurant
4013 Ang Mo Kio Industrial Park 1, Singapore 569629
After the celebration, WC told me to go experience Oktoberfest at his previous workplace, and off we went!
Everyone was like standing on tables, dancing around to Gangnam style and just enjoying themselves!
It was a great & fun experience!
As you can see, both of us really love food a lot! That’s why we always EAT AND EAT AND EAT!
And I really feel so happy as to how WC is always so game to eat anything that I recommend! 😀
With that, thanks for reading my blog! 😀
